No-Vig Fair Odds Calculator
A no-vig calculator strips the sportsbook's margin - the 'vig' or 'juice' - out of a market to reveal the fair, true probability of each outcome. Enter both sides of a market and it removes the built-in edge so the two probabilities sum to a true 100%. It is the foundational math for pricing any market on our Live Odds Board and the starting point for finding +EV bets.
Strip the sportsbook's juice out of a two-way line to reveal the true no-vig fair probability and fair American price for both sides.
How the no-vig calculator works
Enter both sides of the market
Both prices carry the book's margin, so their implied probabilities add up to more than 100%. The extra is the vig.
It removes the margin
The calculator rescales each side so the two probabilities sum to exactly 100% - the fair, no-vig probability of each outcome.
Compare to any book
When a sportsbook's price implies a lower probability than the fair number, the bet is +EV. When it's higher, you're overpaying. This is how sharp bettors price every market.
No-vig formula
Fair probability of A = impliedA ÷ (impliedA + impliedB), where implied = 1/decimal odds. Convert the fair probability back to odds for the no-vig price.
Example — A market priced −110 / −110 implies 52.38% on each side, summing to 104.76%. Removing the vig gives a fair 50% / 50% - the no-vig line. The 4.76% overround was the book's margin.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is vig or juice in betting?
Vig (short for vigorish), also called juice, is the margin a sportsbook builds into its odds. It's why both sides of an even market are priced worse than +100 - the book keeps the difference over time.
What are no-vig odds?
No-vig odds are a market's prices with the book's margin removed, so the implied probabilities of all outcomes add to exactly 100%. They represent the market's fair estimate of each outcome's true chance.
Why remove the vig?
Removing the vig reveals the true probability the market is pricing, which is the benchmark for spotting value. A bet is profitable long-term only when its price beats the no-vig fair odds.
How do you calculate fair odds?
Convert both sides' odds to implied probabilities, add them, then divide each by the total so they sum to 100%. Converting those fair probabilities back to odds gives the no-vig fair price.
